For adults, your healthcare professional (e.g. GP, nurse or dietitian) might also conduct screenings to check the strength of your muscles.
Your healthcare professional may use nutritional screening to assess whether you or your child might need nutritional advice or support, particularly if you or your child have an illness or long-term health condition.
These pages provide you with a little more information on the types of screening your healthcare professional might do at your appointment. They also provide ways you can prepare for your appointment, to help your healthcare professional understand any symptoms you or your child might be experiencing, such as loss of appetite, weight loss or digestive problems like sickness or diarrhoea.
