Additional instructions for the FreeGo Pump.
Abbott FreeGo Pumps are portable feeding pumps that help to deliver your enteral tube feeds.
If you have had a feeding tube placed, your healthcare professional may recommend you a tube feed so that you can receive the feed, water and medicines that you need. These feeds ensure that you continue to get all of the important energy, vitamins and nutrients you need if you cannot eat food through your mouth.
The FreeGo Pump gives you your tube feed gradually. Your healthcare professional will advise you how much to receive and how often.
Yes, absolutely. The pumps are small and can be carried around in a specially designed backpack that can be easily attached to a wheelchair, pushchair, or drip stand so that you can continue to move around whilst you are having your feed.
