If your child’s healthcare professional (e.g. GP or nurse) thinks they are malnourished or at risk of disease-related malnutrition, then they may recommend PaediaSure Compact, a milkshake-style oral nutritional supplement (sometimes known as a sip feed) to help them get the extra nutrients they need.
If your child has only just been recommended PaediaSure Compact, or they haven’t tried all of the available flavours yet, their healthcare professional may start them off with the PaediaSure Compact starter pack so they can explore the different flavours available and find the ones that they like the best.
The PaediaSure Compact starter pack will have been provided to your child because their healthcare professional has recommended they take PaediaSure Compact. PaediaSure Compact is a milkshake-style oral nutritional supplement for children who weigh between 8 kg and 30 kg or are aged between 1 and 10 years. PaediaSure Compact comes in a small 125 ml bottle, making it perfect for children who don’t have much of an appetite, or aren’t able to drink very much liquid
The pack contains a selection of PaediaSure Compact nutritional supplements - one in each flavour: banana, strawberry, and vanilla, so your child has a variety to choose from and can discover their favourite flavours.
The starter pack comes with a 'Patient Choice Card' to give you handy hints and tips on how to help your child enjoy their nutritional supplements, as well as how to follow up to get a prescription of their favourite flavours. The packs also includes a downloadable recipe book for lots of tasty recipe ideas to give your child a variety of ways to enjoy their supplements.
