HOW DO I TAKE ENSURE SHAKE?
Your healthcare professional will tell you how much Ensure Shake you need and how often to drink it. Everyone is different, so this guidance will be unique to you.
Ensure Shake can be made up as standard or with half the milk for a smaller drink. The compact version may be better for patients who struggle to drink a lot of fluid at a time.
How to use Ensure Shake powder to make a tasty milkshake:
Once made up, you can use Ensure Shake vanilla as a tasty alternative to milk in rice pudding or on breakfast cereal.
Ensure Shake chocolate flavour also makes a delicious hot chocolate drink. Just make sure you don’t let it boil as this can damage some of the ingredients and make the drinks less effective. You can serve this topped with mini marshmallows.
This supplement is usually taken in addition to your meals. You can try having it as a mid-morning or evening snack or add it to your normal meals for extra variety.
HOW DO I STORE ENSURE SHAKE?
Store your unopened Ensure Shake sachets in a cool, dry place – not in the fridge.
Once made up with milk, cover any unused shake and store in the fridge until needed. Give it another stir or shake if it has been sitting for a while.
You can keep your shake in the fridge for up to 24 hours. Do not use after this time.
