Nepro LP

Nepro LP (Lower* Protein) 1.8 kcal/mL is high in energy and lower in protein (9.9 g per bottle).*1 It provides complete renal nutrition for people with chronic kidney disease (CKD) who are not on dialysis.1  With a low glycaemic index (GI) of 44, Nepro LP helps manage blood glucose levels making it suitable for people who have both CKD and diabetes.2 It is presented in a 220 mL Read-to-Drink bottle and is available in Vanilla flavour.

Not for use in galactosaemia.

Uses

Nepro LP is suitable as a sole or supplemental source of nutrition to be used under medical supervision. It is suitable for patients with chronic kidney disease who are not receiving dialysis.1

Ingredients

Water, Maltodextrin, VEGETABLE OILS (high oleic sunflower oil, canola oil), milk protein isolate, isomaltulose, sucrose, glycerine, sodium caseinate, fructo-oligosaccharides, MINERALS (potassium citrate, sodium citrate, magnesium chloride, potassium chloride, magnesium phosphate dibasic, ferrous sulphate, zinc sulphate, cupric sulphate, manganese sulphate, chromium chloride, potassium iodide, sodium molybdate, sodium selenate), emulsifier (322), flavouring, choline chloride, VITAMINS (ascorbic acid, niacinamide, calcium pantothenate, pyridoxine hydrochloride, thiamin hydrochloride, riboflavin, Vitamin E, Vitamin A palmitate, folic acid, biotin, phylloquinine, Vitamin D3, cyanocobalamin),L-carnitine, stabiliser (407), and taurine.

Preparation

Nepro LP is ready to use. Shake well. Open immediately prior to use. Once opened, cover and place in refrigerator, discard unused feed after 24 hours.1

Oral feeding: May be fed at room temperature or chilled.1

Tube feeding: Connect feeding set immediately prior to use. During tube feeding, the flow rate and volume are dependent on patients’ condition and tolerance. Pump feed at room temperature with an 8 Fr or larger tube. Additional fluid requirements can be met by giving water. Product should hang no longer than 8 hours at the bedside.1
